Saturday, September 12

Arsenal 2-0 Stoke City (2-0) Referee: Jonathan Moss

Crystal Palace 0-1 Manchester City (0-1) Referee: Mike Jones

Everton 3-1 Chelsea (3-1) Referee: Andre Marriner

Manchester United 3-1 Liverpool (3-1) Referee: Michael Oliver

Norwich 3-1 Bournemouth (3-1) Referee: Martin Atkinson

Watford 1-1 Swansea City (1-1) Referee: Robert Madley

West Brom 0-0 Southampton (0-0) Referee: Stuart Atwell
Now Taggert’s lunge that results in Baggies winger McManaman tumbling to the ground would have had 99.9% managers screaming penalty. Not Tony Pulis, who when asked about the first-half incident promises to have a word with his player. “It’s not a penalty. It’s a great decision by the officials. Callum goes to ground far too easily, without being touched and I will be speaking to him about that. We don’t like sort of thing at this club.” WOW!

Sunday, September 13

Leicester City 3-2 Aston Villa (3-2) Referee: Mike Dean
Chipmonk gets away with one here when Leicester, 0-2 down, are denied a blatant penalty. Instead he gives a corner, from which they score. Obviously, this rectifies the glaring mistake, and Dean is off the hook.

Sunderland 0-1 Tottenham (0-1) Referee: Craig Pawson

Monday, September 14

West Ham 2-0 Newcastle (2-0) Referee: Anthony Taylor
